Three books that I recommend everyone to read

Books teach us a lot, but it doesn't mean it's only the books that do, everyone has their own way of learning. But if you are not sure about yours, try learning from books. Here are the three best books that I recommend everyone to read irrespective of age or anything.

"Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you" -The monk who sold his ferrari."

THE ALCHEMIST by PAULO COELHO

Whenever I get self doubts or feel low, I pick this book.

The Alchemist is a book that everyone should read as everyone has dreams and wishes to pursue them (don't you?) The story in this book is about a boy who loves to travel so he becomes a shepherd. One day he gets a dream about a hidden treasure in the Egyptian pyramids, and the same dream appears again and again so the boy decides to travel to Egypt to find his treasure.

His journey is what every dreamer can relate to, I mean it. This book will convince you to follow your dreams and realize the forces that are trying to help you, how they navigate you to the right path and test what you've learned so far, it trains your instincts.. this book is just amazing. Gift it to kids you know, they will remember you forever (if they read it.) Let me share some wisdom from this book...

(You can skip to the next book recommendation.)

"Dreams are the language of God. When he speaks in our language, I (fortune teller) will interpret. But if he speaks in the language of the soul, it's you who can understand."

"Destiny is what everyone wants to know and accomplish it... But as time passes, some mysterious forces begin to convince them that it will be impossible to realize their destiny. "Mysterious forces" that appear to be negative but actually show you how to realize your destiny. It prepares your spirit and your will, because it's one great truth on this planet: who you are and whatever is that you do, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. It's your mission on earth."

"The world's greatest lie: at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what's happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. THIS IS THE WORLDS GREATEST LIE."

"Every blessing ignored is a curse."

"Intuition is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life, where histories of all people are connected, and we are able to know everything because it's all written there."

"People need not fear the unknown if they are capable of achieving what they need and want."

"You must understand that love never keeps a man from pursuing his destiny. If he abandons that pursuit, its because it wasn't true love..the love that speaks the language of the world."

"Before the dream is realized, the soul of the world tests everything that was learned along the way. It does this not because it is evil, but so that we can, in addition to realizing our dreams, master the lessons we've learned as we've moved towards that dream. That's the point at which most people give up."

Maybe some people find these things a little stupid, but for those who are seeking their destiny and want to dive or are already into it, every sentence in this book seems magical and relatable. That's how I want to end my opinion about this book.

THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI by ROBIN S. SHARMA

I knew life doesnt mean just about career or madly chasing passion, I needed to balance my personal life as well. This book is all about that.
If you think The Alchemist is not for you, then this book should amaze you to discover your life purpose and teaches you how to have a fulfilled life.

A fulfilled life is what we all have to strive for. And it's not about giving up a professional career and becoming a monk or make big sacrifices. No, it's not. But the story in this book goes like this, a hotshot lawyer who madly chases his passion and soon ends up with a heart stroke in his early years. He, then gives up his career, sells all his materialistic possessions including his Ferrari, goes to the Himalayas and become a monk to seek the meaning of life and come back and share what he learned with his old colleague, John.

"Who look outside, dreams; who look inside, awakens"

To boil down this book, it teaches about the importance of aligning your mind, body, and soul for a fulfilled life which is explained through seven virtues. Consistent care of one's mind, body, and soul are essential in finding one's highest self and living the life of one's dreams.

"How can you care for others if you cannot even care for yourself? How can you do good if you don't even feel good? I can't love you if I cannot love myself."

Our life is all about the choices we make, the most joyful, dynamic, and contented people are no different from you or me, they just adopted a positive paradigm about their world and all that is in it.  This book has some great yet simple techniques on how to strengthen our control over our mind such as using a rose flower as a tool for meditation, and opposition thinking to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. They're of course very simple yet difficult to adopt (which means our brain is not in our control.) Everyone must know how to control their mind because "a mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master." Remember that!

There's a lot to talk about, I just stop here. Pick this book and read, you will definitely pause for a moment and think about your life!

"When you control your thoughts, you control your mind. When you control your mind, you control your life. And once you reach the stage of being in total control of your life, you become the master of your destiny."

HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE by DALE CARNEGIE

An introvert recommending this book, you cant ignore it!

First published in 1936, probably the best book that teaches how to deal with people better than any to date. Most of us see things from our own perspectives and talk and judge people accordingly. I must admit I was like this before but this book has changed everything, I am still learning.

"I learned thirty years ago that it is foolish to scold. I have enough trouble overcoming my own limitations without fretting over the fact that God has not seen fit to distribute evenly the gift of intelligence."

This book teaches how, what, when, why, why not, where to speak, how to make a great impression, how to convince, how to be genuine, how to see from other person's perspective, appreciate without flattery........... now you get it what this book is about. If you adopt most of what's in this book, you will be admired wherever you/your name goes. That's How to win friends and influence people is all about.

"Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain, and most fools do. But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving."

"The deepest urge in human nature is the desire to be great, important. If you tell me how you get your feeling of importance, I'll tell you what you are. That determines your character. That is the most significant thing about you."

"Everybody in the world is seeking happiness, and there is one sure way to find it. That is by controlling your thoughts. Happiness doesn't depend on outward conditions. It depends on inner conditions."

I hope you find these books interesting. I know it's hard to read books if you're not a reader or if you don't have time. You can listen to the audiobooks instead, find them, they are even more convenient. If you intend to listen from YouTube, please be careful, sometimes YouTube audiobooks miss many pages. Check the comments on YouTube and decide what to do. Pick the right topic and start learning. Cheers!
